Hyprcore is a native macOS app, signed and notarized by Apple. Auto-updates are enabled by default, so you only have to install it once.

Download

1

Get the installer

Visit hyprcore.ai/download. The site detects whether you’re on Apple Silicon or Intel and offers the right build.
2

Open the DMG

Drag Hyprcore.app to your Applications folder.
3

Launch Hyprcore

Open Hyprcore from Applications. macOS may ask you to confirm the first launch—click Open.
Prefer Homebrew? brew install --cask hyprcore once we publish to the official tap. Until then, use the DMG from the website.

Grant permissions

Hyprcore needs three macOS permissions to work. The onboarding flow walks you through each one. If you skip any, you can grant them later in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
PermissionWhy Hyprcore needs itRequired for
MicrophoneCapture your voice for transcription.Dictation, meetings
AccessibilityPaste transcribed text into the app you were using.Dictation
Screen & System Audio RecordingCapture meeting audio from other apps and record screen video.Meetings
Input MonitoringDetect global keyboard shortcuts.Dictation
After granting any permission, quit and relaunch Hyprcore. macOS only re-reads permissions on app start.

Onboarding

The first time you launch, Hyprcore guides you through:
  1. Permissions. Click each prompt and approve in System Settings.
  2. Pick a dictation model. Parakeet V3 is recommended—it runs on CPU, auto-detects language, and is ~5× real-time on a recent Mac.
  3. Pick a meeting model. Whisper Medium is a good default; Whisper Turbo if your Mac has a GPU and you want speed; Whisper Large if you want maximum accuracy.
  4. Set a shortcut. The default toggles dictation. Customize it in Settings → Dictation.
You can re-run any of these steps later from Settings.

Hyprcore requires a Hyprcore Cloud account, even on the Free plan. Onboarding sends you to app.hyprcore.ai to sign in or create one. Once you do, your desktop app is linked to the account and you can start using dictation and meetings. What signing in lets you do:
  • Use any Hyprcore feature (Free or paid)
  • Cloud sync across multiple Macs (Pro and Team)
  • AI summaries powered by Hyprcore Cloud credits
  • Shareable meeting links (Pro and Team)
  • MCP integrations and the Knowledge Base (Pro and Team)
  • Team seats and shared storage (Team)
Local-first still applies: your audio and transcripts stay on your Mac. Signing in proves who you are, not what you’ve recorded. See Sign in for the full flow.

Platform support

Hyprcore is macOS only—Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs running macOS 13 Ventura or later. There is no Windows or Linux build.
